Have you ever felt remorse or guilty after drinking or using drugs?

Have you ever gotten into financial difficulties or stolen as a result of drinking or using drugs?

Have you noticed that your motivation and ambition have decreased since drinking or using drugs?

Do you tend to think about or crave having a drink or drug at a certain time of day?

Do you ever drink or use drugs so that you will fit in with a certain group of friends?

Do you tell yourself you can stop drinking or using at any time?

Do you drink or use drugs to escape from worries or trouble?

Have you ever had a complete loss of memory as a result of drinking or drugs?

Have you ever felt that your life would be better if you did not drink or use drugs?

If you've checked one of the above questions, this is a warning sign that you may have a problem with substance abuse and should consider speaking with a professional regarding appropriate treatment options.
