Sara Badrtalei
Care Coordinator
Sara is a Marriage and Family Therapist intern (IMFT #61574). She graduated from Chapman University with her Masters degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Chapman University. Sara is currently attending the Chicago School of Professional Psychology (in Los Angeles) for her Doctorate in Psychology. She also received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, where she gained extensive experience conducting research in the areas of child development and social psychology. She has also worked with the Mental Health Association of Orange County as a counselor for adults with various mental health disorders and ethnicities, as well as at the Neuropsychiatric Research Center of Orange County as a research assistant for research studies and as a counselor for the patients. Sara has a lot of passion and experience working with children and adolescents, and is very excited to be a part of Newport Academy's team to help empower adolescent girls in so many ways. She hopes to bring her creativity of music and the arts to the program, to help open new doors for them, and to allow new experiences to affect them in a positive ways.
Sara is an active member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
