Mickey Kay Troxell, MS, CATC, CEAT II, is a Nationally recognized, Master's Level, Certified Equine Assisted Therapist #T940051 that was trained by the Founder of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, Greg Kersten in 1999-2000. In fact, she is the CEO and Founder of the Certified Therapy Horse Association (CTHA®TM2003) and the National Association of Certified Professionals of Equine Therapy (NACPET, Inc. 2008). Similarly, she is the CEO of the Pegasus ECT, which she started in 2000, and it provides Equine Therapy for Mental Health and CE's to Professionals. Her additional credentials are: an Addictions Therapist with a Master's in Cognitive Psychology, and a Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor #97008. In fact, she has been in the field of Chemical Dependency for over 17 years; Co-Owned Seacliff Recovery Center 1995 to 2003; Program Director and start up Safe Harbor Treatment Center for Women 2003-2004. Clinical Director and start up at Essence Treatment Center for Women 2005-2007. She is a State Certified Instructor for Chemical Dependency, with The Institute of Chemical Dependency Studies (ICDS), which became Healthstaff, then as February 23rd 2009 it became her own, Centaur University 2005 to Present.
