Kristy DeLeon
Care Coordinator
Kristy is currently completing her doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the California School of Professional Psychology. Her experience in the field includes working at an adolescent day treatment center and in a female residential eating disorder program. These settings provided Kristy with the experience of working with clients in crisis situations. Many of them presented with dual diagnosis issues with a family system in need of repair. Most recently Kristy worked as a substance abuse counselor with adolescents who were on probation. In this position she created treatment plans best suited to the individual needs of clients and worked closely with the families and other professionals to help pave the way for sobriety. She has collaborated with medical and legal professionals, other therapists, social workers, teachers, probation officers, and support groups to provide optimal care for clients. Kristy has experience facilitating groups, the 12-step program, providing parental education on addiction, and crisis intervention and management. Through her personal and professional experience, Kristy believes that the family system is one of the most important and influential support groups and tools that any person in recovery can have. She is excited to work at a facility that nourishes, supports, and promotes family involvement in the treatment process.
